Scicli

The baroque city lies about 20 kms from Punta Secca and is the centre of Hyblean Baroque architecture in the Noto Valley, a UNESCO site in its entirety.
The famous author Elio Vittorini wrote in his novel, The Cities of the World: “Scicli lies between three valleys laden with houses and around a large piazza overlying an underground river and old religious buildings…”
